Helen Grant Jones
When Helen Grant was born on January 28, 1916, her father, John, was 45, and her mother, Blanche, was 39. She married Luther Edward Jones on May 21, 1942, in Nueces, Texas. They had four children in 11 years. She died on August 7, 2003, in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the age of 87.

Helen was a late child for her mother Blanch and father John. Her brother Jack was (Born 1921) was 5 years old and her sister Zetella was 17 years old.

When Helen was born the World War I was happening, Woodrow Wilson was president of the united states and cars were being purchased every where in the united states and around the world.

Helen was "the apple" of her fathers eye. I was told by my mother that he spent way more time with her than he had ever spent with Zetella or Jack. Helen would tell the story that her sister Zetalla was jealous of her fathers affection towards Helen. This, Helen recalled caused a strained relationship between her and her sister that lasted their entire lives.

Jack on the other hand was Helens best friend and they spent many happy times together during their lives together in Corpus Christi, Texas.
